I’m Jason Cunningham a professional boxer from Doncaster. I’ve been involved with boxing since being a 10yr old boy. As an amateur boxer I represented my country, had many good experiences travelling up and down the country competing but also seeing other places in England.
My amateur career was topped off winning the prestigious ABAE title. This then led to the obvious move of turning to the professional ranks. So far my career in the paid ranks has spanned over 12 years where I’ve won British, European titles and Commonwealth titles at 3 different weights. I’ve won titles from the very bottom and came from humble beginnings. Eventually after a journey filled with high and low moments I signed with hall of fame promoter Frank Warren featuring in big fights on TV.
The journey has been filled with plenty of rough and smooth memories but all that I wouldn’t change as boxing has always given me purpose, positive goals and structure in my life. I’ve also met many great people along the way with very similar goals and aspirations like myself.
Coming from my own experience boxing is fantastic for teaching discipline and living a healthy lifestyle. I’ve also seen first hand the opportunities it gives to individuals and the positive rewards which can be life changing.
I’ve also worked since my teenage years through boxing with young kids to disengaged teens to adults. Some in schools, some in personal development centres and the majority in our boxing gym. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a kid turn his life around from going down the wrong path and bad choices or for health and social benefits, living a healthier lifestyle through exercise or making friends. In a boxing gym you find a new family who all look out for one another.
Myself and my team moving forward with the Iceman Foundation have goals and aspirations to make a massive beneficial impact on our local community offering health and fitness classes through boxing and general fitness to people who need that extra support.
We’re targeting kids from a young age to working closely with kids/ young adults in schools. We’re reaching out to people struggling with disabilities who already have battles in life. We’re offering them a place to live healthy and exercise but somewhere they’re always welcome. We’re looking to help adults who suffer with mental health battle’s our doors are always open for them to train and feel good with others who have similar demons. Somewhere they can feel comfortable and talk to get help or socialise. Also in the world we live in we’re offering self defence classes to females to feel confident and discuss the dangers out there on our streets.
Doncaster as well as the areas, towns, cities close by is filled with pit villages and council estates. We’re offering our community somewhere to go that gives them a purpose and keeps them away from crime or any other dangers we live with.
My name is Dawn Bulcroft, I am the joint Founder and Director of The Iceman Foundation. I was born and raised in Doncaster and live locally to Stefy Bulls Fitness Centre.
I have been around fitness and professional boxing all my adult life, that passion led me to become a fitness instructor. I love exercising, I love teaching, and I love seeing my clients thrive.
I have managed Stefy Bulls Fitness and Circuit Centre now for 5 years. It gives me such pride and joy to witness the younger generations from our local area start as a beginner at our amateur boxing club and develop into elite athletes at the top of their game through hard work, dedication and discipline. Instilling the values that I believe in and creating respect, inclusivity, empowerment and integrity.
I specialise in 1:1 fitness sessions and I’m lucky to have been part of some fantastic fitness journeys. I focus on mental health and wellbeing as well as physical fitness. The impact exercise has had on my clients has been life changing for some. Helping people feel strong and confident is so rewarding to me. I believe exercise is the best way to improve your mental health, boost confidence and become the best version of yourself. I have a passion for providing a safe environment for our community to work on their physical and mental health with our support. My ethos is that fitness should always be balanced with a person’s lifestyle to remain sustainable. It should be accessible and enjoyable whilst being tailored to measurable and realistic goals. When I started my career in fitness, I wanted to share my knowledge and workout programmes to ensure that regardless of ability, my workouts could be used to support a healthy lifestyle.
In previous years I have managed our HAF programme. HAF programme enabled us to support local children and their families throughout Easter, summer, and Christmas school holidays by providing activities and a hot meal every day. I have worked alongside South Yorkshire Police’s violence reduction unit with an aim to reduce violent crime in our area through boxing. Managing and developing programmes in schools for students having Social, emotional & mental health difficulties has been something I have particular enjoyed over the years and continue to work on.
My goal is to give our knowledge and experience back to our community. I strongly believe in giving hope to the younger generations and aim to help create opportunities and build foundations for a bright future. Some of our experienced and valued England boxing coaches started their journey as young amateur boxers with us. It’s important to me that we mentor and guide wherever possible and we want to play our part in creating this.

Jeremy Hague, co-founder and director. Having over 25 year’s experience in commercial and non-for-profit businesses supporting and advising on finance and general business management.
I am passionate about sport both as a participant (and supporter) and the real benefits it can deliver to improve both physical health and, more importantly, mental health and well-being. From a personal standpoint participation in sport and physical activity has provided an invaluable “release valve” from the stresses and pressures of every life, especially for me the stresses of an intense and pressure filled working life. Participation in sport has always given me an escape route to reverse any negatives and get back a positive mind set.
Having been involved with Jason and Dawn for the past 3 years, I have seen the great work they already do around providing opportunities, and more importantly encouragement, within what is a challenging local community, for local people to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle.
In setting up this Foundation it will enable us to take our support and initiatives for well-being of both mind and body to even more individuals and groups. We will be able to deliver more intervention and classes to those that need support and encouragement across all within the community, irrespective of gender, race, or ability.
The Foundation will give us the opportunity to “give back” and help make a positive impact and change to people’s lives for the better.
